I featured this idea because it succeeded very well in visualizing “the pressure on freedom.” More than hundreds of thousands of words, this icon tells you a lot about the irritating pressure from politicians and their government. Well done.
In this article, I featured a legendary-successful social campaign by American Express, “Small Business Saturday”. This idea is a beautiful example of so called “win-win” situation between the credit card brand and small business owners. 5 years have passed since the campaign began but, it is still new and shining.
This is a social campaign which was executed in the Halloween season last year in the U.S. It turned a controversial issue on the social media into the campaign to donate to the doctors who fought against Ebola in the West Africa at that time. How clever it is!
In this article, I featured Samsung's great works done to solve various social issues. Samsung has been working on these wonderful campaigns so I respect their attitudes. I hope some companies of my own country will also have this kind of passion. It's a matter of conscience.
This is a TV advertisement from Indian newspaper, “Mumbai Mirror ”. This film always moves my heart and makes me realize how important it is to keep journalism effective in one’s society. The idea and its message is quite simple, but the execution is brilliant. And I hope Japanese journalism will also take this kind of aggressiveness, sometimes.
These are the two campaigns which have been highly evaluated in various international advertising festivals. They are both about gun control and it’s quite surprising for Japanese like me, who are not allowed to have any kind of guns or rifles in public. Every culture has its own problems and it’s good to know how people living there are trying to deal with them, to understand how to deal with our own problems.
This anti-abuse campaign is from Dentsu Plus, Bangkok. This won a silver award in Spikes Asia 2015. As the award evaluated, the media they chose is relevant and the tagline perfectly matches the environment. Though the case film should be improved a little bit, I feel proud of this achievement, as a member of Dentsu Aegis Network.
